After spending the 2010s building buzz with a series of EPs, Bufiman (Jan Schulte aka Wolf Müller) comes out all guns blazing for the new decade with the project’s debut LP. Albumsi’s core style is perky, slightly proggy Balearic house and disco, with the likes of ‘Galaxy’ and ‘Hoolock Rock’ charming you through their funk-influenced chord progressions and buoyant grooves. Mind you, Albumsi is a varied and disarming listen, with everything from psychedelic house to downtempo to acidic broken beat thrown into Bufiman’s blender.
