Copenhagen-based composer Perko follows up 2018’s astonishing NV Auto with another jaw-dropping set on Numbers. The City Rings picks up where its predecessor left off, marching out meticulously-crafted works of experimental drum and bass and barebones left-field techno by the slightest of means. ‘Stutter’ betrays its uneasy title with a sure-footed pace, while Lia collaboration ‘Grounds’ turns a field recordings exchange into a synth-fuelled belter.
