We always get a little thrill when we get wind of a new release from The Empire Line. The trio of Jonas Rönnberg (Varg), Christian Stadsgaard (Damien Dubrovnik) and Isak Hansen create another unholy racket on The Nature Of Your Oppression Is The Aesthetic Of Our Anger, their first EP for Bassiani. Transplanting industrial, punk and noise sensibilities onto trance and rave sounds here leads to the trio creating enormous tracks like stomper ‘No Prayers Will Help You Here’ or the Power Vacuum-esque ‘Spraypaint’.
