The members of Washington’s Too Free have quite a mish-mash of backgrounds - the group includes Carson Cox (Merchandise), Big Freedia collaborator Awad Bilal and recording engineer Don Godwin. On their debut LP Love In High Demand the group pool their resources to create a memorable set of electronic pop. The manner in which Bilal’s vocals crest above club beats recalls ANOHNI’s collaborations with Hercules And Love Affair, though the production on Love In High Demand draws more from ballroom and no-wave.
