Coming out on Anna von Hausswolff’s label Pomperipossa Records — so you know you’re in safe hands — is the third outing from LA duo drøne. Members Mark Van Hoen and Mike Harding — accompanied by guest musicians on cello, double bass and violin — make quick work of obscuring themselves on The Stilling, washing each chilling song with waves of found sound, radio static and clipped voices, sounding like a disturbed radio play in which certain horrors only become apparent long after first listen.
