The amazing debut album from filthily named Bristol duo Fuck Buttons, who call their music 'Rainbow Rock', a genre name that strangely sums them up. This is noise and music, but an ecstatic, emotional noise, with long melodic drones, trancey rhythmic passages and howling vocals, they make a sound you haven't heard before. With invention and honesty they pull in sounds from electronica, post rock and metal to create a unique sound, thats psychedelic, but hard to pin down. It's blissful in places, dropping down to malevolent Sunn 0)))-like drone and back up to soaring melody, never losing intensity.
