Few collaborations have so much of the aura of cutting edge electronic music about them; then again, the perfect pairing of likeminded souls Jon Hopkins and Kelly Lee Owens proves to be a unique sort of symbiosis. On ‘Luminous Spaces’, reworked and reshaped from 2018’s LP Singularity, Hopkins takes the measured road toward sky bound electronics alongside Owens’ playful melodic sensibility. What started as a remix project becomes a fully-fledged work in its own right.
