In recent times the artist previously known by TSVI has pivoted to releasing music as Anunaku - the 2019 EP that he dropped through Whities under this name proved particularly popular. Stargate sees Anunaku rock up on Martyn’s 3024 imprint with a trio of drum-centric leftfield techno takes. A whirlwind of tuned percussion drives each of these tracks onwards, though their script is flipped in a variety of ways. ‘Atlas4088’ incorporates some instrumental lines which, in their choice of scales, show a Middle Eastern influence - something which is also found in the more breakbeat-indebted ‘Teleported’. Meanwhile Stargate’s title cut nods to Lone in the way that it incorporates some halcyon-glow rave sounds into the polyrhythms.
Stock on order, expected soon.
