Minimal techno doesn’t do this LP justice. With the Irregular Passion Reshaped, French producer Francois X outdoes himself by crafting an LP so fearlessly amorphous — with a wide spatial sensibility to match — that it might be impossible to categorise it as any one thing. ‘Blurry Youth (Elise Reshape)’ mulls on late-night paranoia before blooming into its well-oiled beat, when a dropping tap could easily be mistaken for a house intruder.
