Bleep

Inspired by a mixture of true events and high sci-fi, Nuotama Bodomo’s visionary short movie Afronauts pits Zambia’s Space Academy alongside the US and Russia in the 1960s space race. Score composer and Dirty Projectors drummer Brian McOmber (also a former scientist) largely improvised the film’s score in Toronto alongside his group using the slightest of means, mulling above all on musical tension, before cutting the two day session into one unbeatable score.
