Abstract Thought’s self-titled release on Clone Aqualung Series sounds designed for a particular function — to soundtrack the neural impulses railing to and fro throughout the body. Dating back to 2003, around the same time as the breakout Galactic Rotation, Abstract Thought returns to the pseudo-industrial techno pool for a triple helping of longform style and grace. Each track — entitled ‘Abstract Thought’ 01 - 03 — delves deep into a whole lifeworld of blinking synapses and ongoing beats, never missing a single opportunity to build to the point just before breaking.
