One of the most vital groups to emerge from the British punk and post-punk explosion of the 70s, Wire have outlasted pretty much all of their contemporaries. Mind Hive, the group’s seventeenth (!) studio LP, also serves to prove that there are few who can match this seminal band when it comes to intelligent and wry rock music. Their sound may have morphed slightly - there’s more Guided By Voices and Pixies to what they do now - but Mind Hive is still instantly recognisable as Wire.
