Mischievous as ever, this new LP sees the Swedish group previously known as SHXCXCHCXSH change their name to … HSXCHCXCXHS. The record’s also called AÅÄ, which only adds to the air of confusion regarding pronunciation. What’s for certain is that AÅÄ is another set of psychedelic abstracted power electronics from this unique group, one that variously recalls Mika Vainio, Pharmakon, EVOL and the harshest corners of Sophie’s discography without ever really sounding like anything other than HSXCHCXCXHS (or should that be SHXCXCHCXSH…).
