Swedish sound artist David Granström delivers his debut LP via Kali Malone and Maria W. Horn’s XKatedral imprint. ‘a distant color, secluded’ features four synth pieces that have been partially generated by algorithms, though despite their robotic creation these pieces are lively and human. From the fizzing, Plaid-esque opener ‘The Other Side’, ‘a distant color, secluded’ builds to the crush of ‘Waning Moon’, a track longer than the other three here put together and a sky-scraping drone in the bvdub mould.
