Joyful is a set of warm and welcoming productions from Australian artist Andras. Each of the seven tracks of this LP bubble with a positivity that borders on new-age music at times. When this vibe is applied to Joyful’s housier tracks - ‘Harf Green’ and ‘Live Forever’, for instance - it lines up this record alongside the work of fellow Aussie Roza Terenzi. However, the playful energy of Joyful means that many other styles are also touched on here, from IDM/IDM-techno (‘Honeybird’, ‘Poppy’) to the hybrid fourth-world/ambient/trance closer ‘Goggles’. We’d describe it more as quietly content than all-out Joyful, but either way this record will certainly put a smile on your face.
