The second Pretty Sneaky EP - and no, we’re still no closer to knowing who’s behind these - is a sort of micro-house-meets-machine-funk job. On the A-side we find a typically tinny drum loop wedded to wah-wah chords and little runs of melody that could have been lifted from Bob Marley’s Exodus. The B-side kind of dubs things out, though an insistent bleep-bloop loop keeps the track rolling. Again Pretty Sneaky’s productions manage to recall many other acts - Farben, Herbert, Matmos, various strains of dub techno - without actually sounding much like any of them.
