Aïsha Devi promptly outdid herself with 2019’s outstanding S.L.F. EP, a release that provided a magnetic chapter in her sonic manifesto for the spiritually disenfranchised. If S.L.F. Versions proves anything, it’s that her initial proselytising was far-reaching. The EP sees global remixing talents — 33EMYBW, Equiknoxx, Gabber Modus Operandi and Varg, to be precise — flex their skills all over the original sources, chopping and changing Devi’s works to fit dancehall and ever-more abstract shapes.
