Oftentimes, the end of a relationship is contained in its beginning — that seems to be the approach held across Our Time by Vancouver’s rising house nuts Pender Street Steppers. ‘Falling’ takes crystalline synth chords and a viscous bass step for a walk along the avenues of a blossoming romance, before pulling away the sheen for the distinctly downcast ‘Our Time’, a funky eulogy for the end of love. Awesome crepuscular rhythms abound.
