Aardvarck has always had a very simple but effective formula for making bright, quality techno. He choses simple but big fat sounds to make tracks like the happy grime standout of 'nosestep' and makes them work by just messing with them a little. Kutparra, the lead track seems to be a kind of tribute to the rich jazziness of Theo Parrish work, with massive blocks of warm chords, whilst Kutwell is made out of samples of big clavier riffs. A splendid ep.
