New edition of Sueño Latino’s iconic Manuel Göttsching collaboration here. The ‘Paradise Version’ of this Italo-house band’s eponymous 1989 classic sampled Göttsching’s ‘E2-E4’. It’s an ebullient ambient house joint full of chunky piano chords and rainforest atmospherics. On this Dance Floor Corporation reissue we find the ‘Paradise Versions’ backed with a remix from Derrick May - epic, as you might expect - as well as an acapella of ‘Sueño Latino’ and the track’s ‘Winter Version’. The latter, which goes one better than the ‘Paradise Version’ by getting Göttsching himself to lay down some wailing guitar parts, is the real winner on this EP.
