Acid freaks old and new come together on this new remix EP, one that focuses specifically on Phuture’s seminal ‘Acid Tracks’ joint. The new versions on 35-003 Acid Track Remixes don’t mess with the formula too much (the bassline remains the same throughout, for example). What’s interesting is the directions that each of the artists here pull Phuture’s original in - whereas K’ Alexi Shelby, Acidulant and Posthuman stick to a pretty straight acid house formula, 30303 are on a big-room tech-house tip while Lauren Flax leans into the drums.
