Part 1 collects both rare tracks from the early 00s and unreleased retina.IT tunes. These are deft, occasional somewhat mournful IDM tracks that come off like a more sober version of what Matmos were also doing at the turn of the century. The influence retina.IT have had on artists like Nicolas Jaar is also evident.
