Mndsgn’s 2011 debut full-length NoMaps set the tone for all of the producer’s subsequent releases. An elegant and frequently beautiful beat-tape, the instrumentals on NoMaps take cues from beatmakers like J Dilla and Teebs while also rounding things out with neo-soul and chillwave influences. It makes for a quietly influential set of tracks that still sound excellent all these years later. Originally upped online by the producer, NoMaps now gets a vinyl pressing through Mndsgn’s newly-minted Mndsgn Limited label.
