Stroom pair up with Vazz for Cloud Over Maroma, a compilation LP that collects music from the Scottish group’s two periods of operation. The first, a period in the 80s when Vazz were based in Glasgow, yields blissed-out dream-pop tunes that join the dots between Cocteau Twins, Stereolab and Saint Etienne. Four other tracks - ‘Embers’, ‘Kazimierz’, ‘Star Chamber’ and ‘Ritual - were recorded after the band reunited in the 2010s. These latter-day entries are spooling piano pieces which nod to Michael Nyman.
