Wormhole Wisdom are readying a set of represses from underground favourites Diode and Grumptronix - if you know, you know. Diode and Grumptronix first dropped the Hexafunk / Nightmoves EP way back in 1997, and both of Diode’s tracks are carried over to this new edition. ‘06Funk’ and ‘Waterhole’ display a unique sensibility - their overall sound is not dissimilar to DMX Krew’s machine-funk, but there’s also some IDM-techno and a wee smidgen of acid in there as well. ‘06Funk’ and ‘Waterhole’ come backed with ‘The Watering Hole’, a previously-unheard joint from Grumptronix. This one’s a super-atmospheric electro shuffler that works nicely alongside the Diode entries.
