Ekoplekz’s In Search Of The Third Mantra runs the full gauntlet of contemporary industrial music. Things kick off with an eerie dub-techno joint in the form of ‘High Rise Dub’, but by and large this is not a club-friendly record - the messed-up acid of ‘Do The Meinhof’ is the only other cut on In Search Of The Third Mantra which could be considered a rhythm track in the traditional sense. Instead Ekoplekz explores the space at the edge of the dancefloor here, conjuring up misty tracks that find a midpoint between This Heat, Throbbing Gristle and Jay Glass Dubs.
