The irrepressible and mighty Juan Maclean return this week with the release of a new 12? of ?Love Is In The Air? on DFA / EMI Records. Taken from one of last years defining electronic albums ?Less Than Human? ? Love Is In The Air has been re-twisted and sculpted by the likes of Mook And Toof, Strategy and Caro. "Love Is In The Air" is a rekindling of Maclean?s love affair with everything from Kraftwerk to Juan Atkins and Derrick May, Funkadelic to Giorgio Moroder and Lipps Inc to Talking Heads. It?s full of tics (sin drums, cow bells, Bootsy Collins bass lines, Moog motifs) borrowed from dance music history, but without a hint of retroist remake. Less Than Human marks Juan?s long awaited rise back, reborn as The Juan Maclean.
