Another lovely release from the consistently impressive Isle Of Jura imprint here. While it was originally issued in 1990, Zann’s Strange Ways / Inside Jungle presents a similar kind of new age/fourth world electronics that the label has also dabbled in on releases by Jura Soundsystem and Len Leise. Similarities can also be found with recent releases from 12th Isle, Sacred Summits and Domestic Exile labels. All of this is to say that Zann’s choice to combine electronics with acoustic instruments such as tabla and gong still resonates today.
