Group co-founder Guru may have been long gone by the time Gang Starr’s One of the Best Yet emerges, but his presence is indelibly felt across its posthumous vocal appearances. The LP, likely the final one ‘proper’ in the Boston duo’s perfect run, still pulls no punches despite its macabre background. Special appearances from J. Cole, Q-Tip, Talib Kweli and Ne-Yo make for a more than fitting tribute.
