Thomas Melchior (releases for Playhouse, Perlon, Rephlex, Ifach as My Little Yoni, Vulva, Soul Capsule, Melchior Productions and more...) and Luciano (the Cadenza label boss) get deep into the mix with these two unravelling sound explorations. 'Soloman's Prayer' features a gorgeous little melody - a fragmented set of notes that slowly gravitate together - some African chanting and a sitar riff that are backed up by some warm, well-rounded beats. 'Father' seems to take a while to get going - field recordings, and percussive chirps build up over the first few minutes - and then finally jump starts with a beastly kick and the finest vocoder work since to grace a record since Villalobos' 'Easy Lee'.
