While Once Upon A Passion might be the debut LP from Bella Boo, the LA-based producer/DJ feels right at home on Studio Barnhus. This isn’t just because she’s already dropped a couple of EPs on the label - it’s more to do with the fact that Bella Boo’s classy, effervescent brand of deep house fits in perfectly on a label run by Kornél Kovács, Axel Boman and Petter Nordkvist. The album’s midsection, which explores Balearic and downtempo textures, gives Once Upon A Passion a nice arc.
