Back in 2004 the Ohio deep house don Hanna (Warren Harris) released the Exquisite Style LP. Two of the highlights of that record were ‘I Needed’ and ‘Intercession, On Behalf’, both effortlessly funky deep house shuffles that combined ebullient vocals with some pleasingly chunky grooves. The tunes still hold up almost fifteen years on from their initial release and they’re very much deserving of this new reissue from the gold folk at Melodies International.
