To create their latest LP Blossoms, Emptyset members James Ginzburg and Paul Purgas fed some of their existing work and ten hours of improvised recordings into a machine learning programme. It’s no surprise, then, that the resulting record comes off like an inverted version of the duo’s pre-existing sound. Blossoms moves between grinding industrial tones, passages of gnarled concrete and fluttering almost-ambiences. If you’re looking for related sounds then go for Belief Defect and Ose.
