Son Milton debuts with a set of wistful house and techno. Both ‘Minerals’ and Memory Haze’s eponymous joint are some lovely rolling techno tunes in which the influence of classic Detroit sounds is palpable. Elegant and well-tempered, these are the sort of things that will still mix well a thousand years from now. Memory Haze’s closer ‘Capybara’ is more erratic, the lopsided bassline and slower drum groove nodding to synth-funk.
