Emotive, ambitious post-rock from Parisian group OISEAUX-TEMPÊTE here. From Somewhere Invisible features some noisy, sky-scraping numbers that draw from the likes of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Daughters and Do Make Say Think. These are balanced out with passages of beauty and tranquility - for instance, ‘In Crooked Flight On The Slopes Of The Sky’ sounds like a dreamstate rendering of Warren Ellis’ Dirty Three. All in all, From Somewhere Invisible is an intense and rewarding album.
