YYYY offers up a set of murky, murmuring drones on debut LP El Tamano de Mi Silencio (translation: The Extension of My Silence). The way in which harmony and melody are submerged by a variety of lo-fi production quirks here has us thinking of everyone from Jefre Cantu-Ledemsa to His Name Is Alive. El Tamano de Mi Silencio’s more gothic drones - ‘Lo Que Hay Detras del Miedo’, for instance - nod to both Prurient and bvdub.
