They’re back! After making trap stadium-sized and then abruptly calling it quits in the early 2010s, TNGHT now return to the fray with new single ‘Serpent’. The duo of Hudson Mohawke and Lunice deploy all the old weapons here - huge whomps of bass, frenetic half-rhythmic lead lines, a general air of EDM mania - but there is also a new-found weirdness to their production here. For instance, the whooping, hollering and clattering sounds that are all over ‘Serpent’ will keep listeners guessing long after the beat drops.
