Next up on Kangding Ray’s ara imprint is Voiski. The French producer (real name Luc Kheredmand) turns out a set of technicolour techno on the At The Speed Of Love EP. The record’s more beat-driven entries burst with rich and vibrant synth sounds to a point where they start to resemble Jon Hopkins. More weightless moments - ‘Calls From Above’, for instance - dovetail with Barker’s recent drumless techno experiments. Like all ara drops the vinyls of At The Speed Of Love come in bespoke, individually-painted editions.
