Local Artist returns to Mood Hut with another set of perky house tools. Both Local Artist (Ian Wyatt) and the label are synonymous with a funky, dusky take on deep house, and certain cuts on the Touch Tone EP operate in this style once again - particularly the B-Sides ‘Fruit’ and ‘Gravity’, tracks which remind us of Pender Street Steppers. However, Touch Tone also takes in jangling Legowelt-style electro (the opening title-track) and acidic neo-disco (‘Boys Cry’).
