After turning heads with his debut EP back on Apron Records in 2017, Molinaro now returns to Steven Julien’s imprint with a set of left-of-centre club productions. As you might be able to guess from its title, What The Future Was concerns itself with the previously-imagined futures of dance music. These bygone sonic utopias are resurrected, repurposed or questioned across six pieces of hazed, curious and beguiling techno/house. Actress is the most immediate comparison.
