What more can one say about Youngstar’s ‘Pulse X’? Arguably grime’s defining riddim, this track’s sci-fi kick drums and wobble bass still sound like the future all these years after it was first released. It’s more than worthy of a reissue. This new White Peach pressing of ‘Pulse X’ also shines a light on some of Youngstar’s slightly less famous but no less vital beats. 'Formula’, ‘Formula 2’ and ‘Revival’ - the latter of which formed the backbone of Dizzee Rascal’s triumphant ‘Stand Up Tall’ - are all included.
