It’s a rare thing to find techno explorations that concerns matters of the heart as well as the feet. First off is the dark pulse of ‘Set Me Free’, which unfolds into a pseudo-funk odyssey, a pace heightened by the narrative of ‘Don’t Stop’ (an invitation to party as well as one’s own personal gym motivator). Meanwhile, side B’s ‘Autumn Blues’ takes SAD-type melancholia and sets it 4/4, while ‘Time Undefined’ skirts on vintage house ascendency.
