Some early DJ Mau Mau rollers get a new pressing through Holding Hands Records, an imprint increasingly doing a good line in rare techno reissues. ‘Hell’s Club’ is tech-house done right, eschewing the fluffier end of the genre for a nasty, scuzzy bass-led jack. ‘D+’ follows, sticking to a similar formula while going harder on the percussion. ‘JMRB’ has that timeless Detroit cosmic vibe to it while the Hell’s Club EP closes out with the lopsided breakbeat-techno jam ‘Breakers In Space (DRC Edit)’.
