New-ish label Art-E-Fax continue to serve up quality, retro-flavoured rave fare with a new EP from Senate. The tunes on E-FAX003 wouldn’t sound out of place on a revivalist imprint like Sneaker Social Club - the ‘Amen Break’-helmed ‘Chain Kill’ appears explicitly designed to hark back to more innocent raving days in a manner similar to Lone. However, Senate also displays a modernising tendency here - ‘Surveil’ is the sort of hissing techno tool one might find on Timedance
