Synth music’s enfant terrible Steve Moore returns to L.I.E.S. with a release bearing his own name — a telling sign if ver there was one. Released in near tandem with his permafrost-y Beloved Exile LP over on Temporary Residence, this EP flexes Moore’s boast-worthy skill in a different direction, laying aside boundless ambience for hefty gut punches of sequenced bass, clattering hi hats and searching drum machine workouts.
