Tea Notes finds the harmonious synchronicity of technology and classicism working to a beautiful full effect. Composed by Jatinder Singh Durhailay, student of Indian classical music, and David Edren, student of modular synthesis, the LP dives into deep pockets of kosmische with the use of Durhailay’s sitar and two traditional Sikh instruments; the bowed dilruba and taus. The scrape of strings are almost made material, wisps of smoke floating into ether across the ambient passages generated by Edren’s spatial sensitivity.
