Hypnoelectronix No. 2, the second Slip D release to emerge on the HPNX label, is another set of potent club tackle. This is an EP that gathers momentum as it goes along. Opener ‘VDUB’ is a heady swirl of pulsing bass and reverb-drenched ambiences that have something of a halcyon glow to them, but come closer ‘WT IS’ we’re fully into acid jack territory. The second Hypnoelectronix instalment is club odyssey in miniature.
