Antelope, the debut LP by Belgian artist Penelope Antena, is an unconventional and decidedly modern set of singer-songwriter compositions. While Antena’s vocals and songcraft are at the core of the record, her desire to push genre boundaries and utilise contemporary production techniques like auto-tune sets Antelope apart from traditional expectations of the format. As such, Antelope’s kindred spirits number albums like fka twigs’ LP1, Dirty Projectors’ eponymous full-length and Glasser’s Ring.
