Stonedwave deliver another set of pounding offbeat club tackle on the fourth full-length in their Restless Breed series. The tracks here move between harsh industrial freakbeat, drone-techno, dystopian electro and other darkside DJ tools. Ghoul Detail, for instance, opt for the former on opening cut ‘Endgame’ while Dez Williams keeps it electro with his two contributions. Occasionally Restless Breed 4.0 just goes fully strange - see Sterago’s ‘Maniac Maelstrom’ on this count, in which a minimal jack groove is constantly under fire from all sorts of whirring synths.
