Having previously dropped a few records as Happy Meals the duo of Lewis Cook and Suzanne Rodden are now making hay under their new name Free Love. Extreme Dance Anthems, the pair’s first release for Optimo, is a record with a slightly misleading title. While you could probably dance to some of these psychedelic electronic tracks, much of the production here is far too idiosyncratic for the dancefloor. Indeed, the artists recalled here are the likes of Zola Jesus and High Places - both acts that also have one foot in the club and one foot out of it.
